The ICA for universities and colleges
The ICA gives students a shared language for how they think, feel and act, and gives researchers and teachers an instrument whose scoring and evidence status are public.
Where it fits
Student development
Advisers and coaches use profiles to open conversations about study habits, group work and career direction.
Careers services
A structured starting point for conversations about the kinds of work that suit how a student prefers to operate.
Teaching
Courses on measurement and organizational behavior can study the ICA's design, scoring and open research as a live case.
Research
Take part in the ICA study, or use the free ICA in your own studies with published scoring and version-stamped exports.
Campus-wide use
The Institutional License covers organization-wide use under one agreement, $120,000 a year.
Students and consent
- Students take the ICA on their own device, and their answers stay in their browser unless they choose to share results.
- Use with students under 18 needs the consent your institution and local law require.
- Results are self-reported preferences, not grades or diagnoses. Use it as one input alongside other evidence, never as the sole basis for a consequential decision.

Questions
Can we use the free ICA in a class without a license?
Students can take the free ICA themselves at any time. Professional interpretation for students by staff is what certification and the licenses cover.
